Coach Robbie Espinosa

 Robbie Espinosa is the President of Espinosa Baseball Lessons and has built a reputation across Southern California for running a structured, consistent, and professional training program. For more than a decade, families have trusted his program for clear instruction, accountability, and real development over time.


Robbie played at Irvine Valley College before continuing at Colorado State University Pueblo, where he earned his degree in Business Management and finished with a .341 batting average. His background is built on preparation, repetition, and understanding how players develop through consistent work.


Over the last 10+ years, Robbie has trained more than 2,000 athletes across Southern California, working with players from beginner youth levels to advanced high school, college, and professional athletes. His instruction covers hitting, pitching, catching, and defensive development, with a focus on clean mechanics, repeatable movements, and routines that carry into games.


Every session is run with structure and purpose. Players are coached with attention to detail, held accountable, and expected to show consistent effort. Families know what to expect, and players understand how to improve.


Outside of baseball, Robbie spends time tournament bass fishing, hunting, and flying.

Coach Brandon Hemminger

 Brandon Hemminger played at Esperanza High School before continuing his career at Hope International University, competing at the collegiate level. His background gives him a clear understanding of what translates from training into game performance.


Within the program, Brandon is known for being consistent, prepared, and reliable. He runs structured sessions, communicates clearly, and builds trust with both players and families through his approach and presence.


He is currently pursuing a degree in Speech Pathology, which shows in how he teaches. He is able to break down movements, make adjustments in real time, and communicate in a way players understand and apply.


His instruction covers hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and throwing, with a focus on clean mechanics, repeatable movements, and building habits that carry into games.


Outside of baseball, Brandon stays active through weight training and follows the game closely.

Coach Brandon Parillo

 Coach Brandon Parillo brings professional playing and coaching experience to Espinosa Baseball Lessons. A Huntington Beach native, he was a dominant high school pitcher before being selected in the 8th Round of the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.


He went on to build a multi year professional career in the Frontier League, earning All-Star honors in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and was named Pitcher of the Year in 2007. He later served as Pitching Coach for the Kalamazoo Kings, working with players at the professional level.


Brandon works with athletes who are serious about development. His sessions are structured, efficient, and built around routines that translate directly into game performance.


His instruction focuses on pitching and hitting, with an emphasis on mechanical efficiency, arm care, bullpen structure, swing consistency, and preparation. Players learn how to build repeatable movements and make adjustments that show up in competition.


He is known for setting a professional standard while communicating in a way players understand and apply.

Coach Brycen Sherwood

 Brycen Sherwood was a standout shortstop at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he helped lead the program to four regional appearances and two NAIA World Series runs. During his career, he earned a NAIA World Series Gold Glove, All-American honors, Conference Player of the Year, and three First Team All-Conference selections, finishing as the program’s all-time leader in hits, doubles, walks, and runs scored.


Brycen brings high level playing experience and a proven understanding of what translates into game performance. He has competed in pressure situations and understands how to prepare, adjust, and perform when it matters.


He provides instruction in all areas of the game, with sessions built around the individual player. Each lesson is structured, efficient, and focused on clean fundamentals, consistent mechanics, and building habits that show up in games.


Brycen is known for his energy, attention to detail, and ability to connect with players while holding them to a high standard. Parents can expect a focused, productive session where their athlete is challenged, coached, and given clear direction.

Coach JP Hopkins

 JP Hopkins is a former standout at Chino Hills High School who went on to play at Colorado State University Pueblo, earning his degree in Kinesiology. He continued his career professionally in Mexico with the Toros Baseball Club and later in the Pecos League, giving him experience at both the collegiate and professional levels

.

JP brings that background directly into his coaching. He has worked with youth travel players, high school athletes, and private clients, and currently serves as an assistant coach at Fullerton High School. His experience in both private instruction and team environments allows him to teach players what translates into games.


He specializes in hitting, pitching, and catching, with sessions built around the individual athlete. His instruction focuses on clean mechanics, consistent routines, and helping players understand how to make adjustments and perform with confidence in game situations. JP runs lessons out of the Espinosa Baseball Lessons Anaheim indoor facility, providing a consistent, controlled training environment where players can get quality work in year round.


JP is known for being steady, detailed, and easy to work with while holding players to a high standard. Parents can expect structured, productive sessions with clear instruction and measurable progress over time.

Coach Andrew Carren

  Andrew Carren is a former Valencia High School player and collegiate pitcher who was a consistent middle of the lineup bat and contributor on both sides of the ball. He finished his high school career with a .350 batting average while regularly producing in key spots in the lineup.

He continued his playing career at Fullerton College, where he worked as a reliable bullpen arm and posted a 3.68 ERA in his final season. During that time, he was part of a program that reached the regional playoffs in back to back seasons, gaining experience in a competitive team environment.


Andrew later continued his education at Cal Poly Pomona, where he is pursuing a degree in Business with a focus in Operations Management.


Andrew works with players of all ages and skill levels, with sessions tailored to the individual athlete. His instruction focuses on pitching, hitting, and defensive development, with an emphasis on clean mechanics, consistency, and building a strong foundation that carries into games.


He is known for being patient, detailed, and easy to work with, creating an environment where players can improve while staying confident and engaged. Parents can expect structured, productive sessions with clear instruction and steady progress over time.

Outside of baseball, Andrew enjoys staying active, working out, and spending time with friends.

Coach Scott Moore

 Coach Scott Moore brings over 25 years of coaching experience in baseball and softball throughout Orange County. Since 1998, he has worked with players at the Little League, travel ball, and high school levels, including West Yorba Linda Little League and El Dorado High School. His long standing presence in the local community, along with his experience as a father of five athletes, gives him a strong understanding of both player development and what families are looking for.


Scott is known for his calm, patient approach and his ability to connect with younger athletes. He creates a structured environment where players can learn fundamentals the right way while building confidence through repetition and consistency.


His instruction focuses on hitting, throwing, and fielding fundamentals, with an emphasis on proper mechanics, steady improvement, and helping players feel comfortable and confident on the field. He is a strong fit for beginner and developing players who need clear instruction and a positive environment to grow.


In addition to baseball, Scott competed in collegiate tennis at University of Redlands, where he won a Division III National Singles Championship. He remains active in competitive tennis and enjoys watching his son Dylan play professionally with the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and Philadelphia Phillies.


Parents can expect patient, structured sessions with clear instruction and a focus on building strong fundamentals from the ground up.
